What to Expect

Caño Island Biological Reserve is located 32 miles offshore with some of the clearest waters in Costa Rica (80+ feet of visibility). Full-day tours depart at 7:30 AM with a 1.5-hour boat ride (dolphin and whale sightings common en route).

You'll snorkel at two different reef locations for 2-3 hours total, encountering hawksbill and green sea turtles, white-tip reef sharks, eagle rays, manta rays, moray eels, and hundreds of tropical fish species around vibrant coral formations.
