What to Expect
Playa Arco is one of the southern Pacific coast's most beautiful and least crowded beaches. Named for the dramatic natural rock arch that frames the southern end of the beach, this palm-lined crescent of sand offers a perfect beach day experience without the tourist crowds found at more famous locations.
The beach features soft gray-brown sand stretching approximately 400 meters, backed by thick jungle that provides natural shade under palm trees and almond trees. The namesake rock arch (arco means arch in Spanish) is the beach's iconic feature—waves crash through the arch creating spectacular photo opportunities, especially at high tide. At low tide, you can walk through the arch and explore tide pools on the rocky area beyond.
